Dr.M. K. Muneer – Social Welfare and Panchayats Minister Kerala State

Dr.M. K. Muneer-Social-Welfare-and-Panchayats-kerala-stateDr.M. K. Muneer is the son of former grate IUML leader C. H. Mohammed Koya. He started his political career through MSF and later became the president of MSF union also got elected to Councilor of Kozhikode Corporation Kerala.  He contested his first assembly election in the year 2001 from Calicut and served as PWD minister in the A.K. Antony lead Government during the period 26.5.2001 to 29.8.2004. He was one of prominent and capable youth icon minister in A.K antony ministry which gave him remarkable place in Kerala politics. But he felt the taste of defeat after the controversies between P.K Kunhalikutti and him, by loosing against Manjalamkuzhi Ali in Makkada Constituency in 2006 Kerala Assembly election. Once again he came back to Kerala politics by making a marginal victory against C.P. Musafir Ahammed and holding the position of Social Welfare and Panchayats.
